Why nurse-led

Care that starts with listening

Time to talk

Nursing is practiced at the bedside, where care is measured in attention. That habit sets this practice’s pace: unhurried visits, questions welcome.

Plain language

Teaching is half of nursing. Diagnoses, medications, and results explained until they actually make sense — not recited on the way out the door.

An advocate in the room

A nurse’s job is to be on your side of the chart — coordinating, translating, and pushing back when the system won’t budge.

Meet the founder

Lilit Melkonyan, BSN, RN

Lilit is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, now completing her training as a nurse practitioner. Melkonyan Health is the practice she’s building for the day that license arrives — shaped by time at the bedside, where the difference between good care and bad usually comes down to whether anyone listened.

Her training runs wider than the nursing ladder alone — she has been a licensed esthetician since 2021 and holds current wound care, IV, and CPR certifications, skills that already shape how she thinks about whole-person care.

She incorporated Melkonyan Health in 2026 as the first concrete step. The destination: a nurse-led practice in Sylmar where visits aren’t rushed, results come with explanations, and the person answering the phone is the person who knows your chart.

The moment licensure is complete: a nurse-led practice for Sylmar — and everyone on the patient list hears first.

Not yet. Lilit is completing her nurse practitioner training, and the practice opens once licensure is complete. The patient list on this page is how you’ll hear the moment that happens.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with graduate-level clinical training, licensed to diagnose conditions, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medication. NP-led care consistently rates highly on the things patients feel most — time, listening, and clear explanation.

The plan centers on primary care — physicals, sick visits, women’s health, preventive screenings, and chronic-condition support. The final list takes shape closer to opening day, and what people ask for on the patient list genuinely influences it.

Insurance participation and pricing will be announced before opening day. Everyone on the patient list gets those details as soon as they’re set — before anyone else.
